Over last weekend, we went to Shoppe Object, a semi-annual venue where Flo finds some of her “finds”for Refined Finds. Although the show resurfaced in person last year, this was the first show with pre-Covid attendance (and very few masks).
As buyers place orders for their retail stores, I take my informal, unscientific and subjective survey of the economy.
There was a lot of activity. Sales were brisk as vendors reported that sales were good - better than expected. Retailers were looking for new product and inventory. There was a sense of optimism and anticipation of an improvement in retail sales.
Only time will tell whether the expectations will be realized....
