Women have been on the frontlines of change, literally, forever.  Throughout history, women have dreamed of change and opened doors to opportunity. 

Women fill our ranks as innovators, entrepreneurs, essential workers, heads of family and more.

Women’s History Month kicked off again on March 1.  We get here every year but for some reason, this year, I am wondering whether calling out an entire month to recognize the contribution of women to our society actually has impact.

Well, here is what I suggest.  Let’s take this seriously.  I call on anyone who identifies as a woman, and even those who do not, to share a story of the impact of women in their world.

I will start with my grandmother.  You may not have known her, but I did. She was strong-willed, opinionated, and did not let anyone else interfere with her vision.  She was a bookkeeper at a time when most women were not working.  And for context, think about the fact that she was born in 1898.
