This is graduation week in so many places and I am reminiscent of this time last year when we celebrated two in our house at the same time.

I can’t say that my childhood memories are always easy to reach anymore but some remain crystal clear and included among them each of my own graduations going back to elementary school.  I remember the dress I wore in fifth grade and the speech the principal gave when we moved up to high school.  And interestingly I remember how hot it was on the day of my high school graduation – but remember much more clearly losing the senior competition for Miss Talent.

I wonder as time goes on if I will remember my children’s graduation milestones more clearly than my own.
