I always look forward to the excitement of the Fall Cultural Season. The Sunday New York Times features a bunch of gigantic sections for the New Seasons of Movies, Television, Music, Dance, and Theater.

But, the major essay about the fall season has this ominous headline.  “The Thrill is Back, So is the Anxiety.”  Earlier in the summer, the optimism about returning to normalcy was high.  Now the reality of Delta and the worry about other variants has taken center stage.  The risks of heading indoors are all too apparent.  Hopefully, vaccine mandates and mask-wearing at theaters will give us the confidence to return to live theater.

I have not bought my first ticket.  Let us know if you will be back on Broadway this fall.
