One of the many Gotham aspects which differentiates us from other groups is our list service.

We start with Freds List which in many ways is the backbone or "magic wand" of Gotham. The Amazing fruits of Fredslist posts are countless and you should feel free to comment as to your favorite.

As Gotham grew there were complaints that there were too many self-promotional posts clogging Freds List. As a consequence we came up with Promo List which allows people to blatantly promote themselves on either Tuesday or Friday on a separate cost free listserve.

Another nuts and bolts listserve is our GC List, which allows Gotham's Tribal Council to communicate with all of the leaders of our some 50 groups. Of course, the Tribal Council (our self styled Board of Directors) also has its own listserve, as do our 7 bloggers.

Further, did you know that each group has its own list serve for intra group communication?

What's more, it is the other more focused list serves which provide Gotham with its enjoyable  "bells and whistles".

The first fun list grew out of complaints a few years ago that too many sports fans were clogging Freds List during the Super Bowl. In response, General Counsel Ben Geizhals came up with the idea of a separate list called Sports Talk which is available for the sole purpose of talking sports. This list lights up during a sporting event as the true fans render their opinions, criticism and comments about a game in progress in real time.  It's almost like being there.

Next came our Politics list which is very active during election periods and, without question, encourages the most  controversial and heated discourse.

Then came Rockrap which is a listserve devoted to rapping,ie, talking, about music and is led by our Maestro Corey Bearak.  On this list, for example, one learns about upcoming concerts, ticket availability or listens to links of great music.

Our newest listserv is Flicks whereon members can judge the quality of a movie or submit a mini review (as long as it does not reveal the essence of the plot).

Last but not least, is our most important listserve, the Lefty List which is the exclusive province of those who think on the right side of their brain and do not want to be left out.
