I'm afraid there seems to be a pattern when we go to the ballpark.
My husband is a real Mets fan. So is my son. It is actually more than a little fun to listen to them watch a game together on the phone hundreds of miles away from each other. But I digress.
What do you think it means that if/when we leave the ballpark before the end of the game, the score takes a direct turn towards our Mets? It happened again Saturday night.
For Bill's birthday, I bought us tickets to opening weekend. [It was fun, and yes, it was cold and wet too.] It felt great to be back at Citifield and to see the excitement around Juan Soto's first games on the team.
The Mets were doing "ok" but not winning and then we left. As we turned on the radio in the car, we heard the roar of the crowd as the score turned towards the Mets. And then, they won in an exciting final inning!
But we weren't there to see it . . .
Well, I suppose the end result is what counts.
Looking forward to being back at the park for our Gotham traditional outing, this year on July 5!
Let's Go Mets!
