I noticed the credit card on the ground as I walked away from my parked car. I picked it up and asked myself “What now?” Leaving it for someone else to find didn’t seem right. After a moment’s thought, I called the number of the back of the card. The bank was very nice, appreciated my call, canceled the card, and said they would contact the cardholder. About a week later, we were driving home after parking the car in a garage. We were a few blocks away from the garage when I heard a little rattle in the cup holder and found a set of car keys. They weren’t for my car and were obviously left by accident by the garage attendant. I am not sure what I would have done if I were more than a few blocks away, but I made my way back to the garage and gave the appreciative attendant the keys. If these events are related — I think they are — and things come in threes, I wonder what the next event will be. And while I wait, I wonder what someone else would have done.
