Thanks to Gothamite Craig Rosasco (LI Legal Group), we have obtained a permit for the use of a softball field and picnic area  in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Park on Saturday, August 22 from 11:00 to 6:00 (there is no raiin day). It will be a coed softball game and picnic (food and drink provided by Gotham)

This is a cost free event and you are invited to bring your family. If you intend to attend please let us know in the week prior thereto so that we can order the correct amount of provisions. Also, if you would like to volunteer to help make this event happen it would be greatly appreciated.

The day should be a lot of fun, mixed in with a little good natured competition.  Rumor has it that the starting (slow pitch) pitchers are Scott Bloom and yours truly.  Rules require each team to have at least 3 women on the field.

I hope to have my son and grandson on my team.

Volunteers for (brave) umpires are solicited. :)
