Most here know I root for the Mets. Following this election, it appeared like many a contest involving those Mets. My side takes an early lead. I watch it whittle down. It looks like all hope is lost. Same old Mets.....And then perhaps like what many believe will occur under new Mets owner Steve Cohen, my side found strength in the former of absentee and early votes that election officials tallied overnight and this morning. [Election 2020; Voting; Democrats; Republicans; Trump; Biden; gerrymandering; Electoral College]

WOW! The NY Legal Group Meeting on Wednesday was exceptional. With over 20 members and guests present we went around the Zoom table as always, there was the usual schmoozing, and there was MORE!

Thank you Lisa Waterman and Michael Garibaldi for inviting the incomparable COREY BEARAK, http://strategicpublicpolicy.com/, who presented “Results Matter” an overview of where things stand after election day 2020. 

Corey laid the foundation for an important conversation around the election issues, voter turnout and statistics by presenting his analysis of the results that were in already and what is likely to happen. All this based on Corey’s political acumen, his ability to draw information from the data, historical reference and real life experience. He even drew a clear and understandable sports analogy that was helpful.

There were questions and answers and and more questions. We shared ideas, insights, and concerns. As you plan your circuit riding for next month, this group is one to include - it’s not only for lawyers. And for all things government related, understand how valuable a resource Corey can be.
