[Promo] Tips to Exude Presence on your video calls

*Video conferencing has become a way of life for most of us. *

Our great Gotham meetings are now all virtual. So what better time than to
share tips to exude presence on your video calls.  Long standing
research says that 93% of the impression we make is with our nonverbal
communication. The words we use make up only 7%. Follow these tips and you
will always sound like the expert you are.

*Use Your Body Wisely!*
1. *Start with eye contact.* I know that it is sometimes awkward - where to
look. My suggestion is to adjust the height of your monitor camera so that
you can comfortably make eye contact by looking at attendees’ faces on the
screen.

2.* Facial expressions.  *The smile is as important as ever. Be careful of
the scowl that you might give on a telephone call. Remember- others can now
see you. Nodding your head in agreement is great for keeping others engaged
and giving feedback. I like to also give thumbs up (or if asked and is
needed a thumbs down).

3. *Posture.* Imagine a string pulling you up from the top of your head to
the ceiling. Sit tall.

4. *Vocal pitch.  *Use a strong confident and dynamic voice to sound like
the expert you are!!
