Universal Life Insurance Policy Crisis

A popular insurance product of the 1980s and 1990s has come back to bite
many older Americans.

Universal life was a sensation when it premiered, and for some years it
worked as advertised. It included both insurance and a savings account
that earns income to help pay future costs and keep the premium the same.
That was when interest rates were in the high single digits or above.
Today, rates are completing a decade at historically low levels,
crimping the savings accounts. Meanwhile, the aging of the earliest
customers into their 70s, 80s and even 90s has driven the yearly cost of
insuring their lives much higher.

This is a topic I have informed prospects and advisors about for many
years. This was the motivator that created my"Forensic Life Insurance
Analysis" Service.

My intent, was to raise the awareness of the public and financial
advisors, of the pitfalls of this early type of Universal Life Insurance
policy.

for a Wall Street Journal article on the topic.

There are some possible solutions other than having to pay a much larger
premium.
A tax-free exchange of the cash values, that are left in a Universal
Life policy, to a new more cost effective policy, in many cases can
alleviate the problem.

This solution depends on: cash values that are left; age; and health.

I offer a complementary & comprehensive service, that includes a
Forensic Analysis of inforce Universal Life polices, and recommendations
for replacing the policy with a new one, that is financially sound.

I have access to over 50 insurances companies, which allows me to search
and compare which policies would work best for a specific client.

Please call or write to discuss the process and to initiate an analysis.

As usual, please feel free to contact with any questions regarding
personal insurance, estate & retirement planning.
