	With much excitement, GOtham GREEN® shares news that 2016 Gotham Green Awards® winner Rory Christian landed the top spot — yes #1 — on the recently announced City&State (magazine) Power List: "Energy & Environment 100"

Rory Christian is currently the Chair and CEO State Public Service Commission.  In 2016, Rory served at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) leading the EDF Clean Energy Program.  His nominator, my former colleague in government, Nancy Anderson, stated: "Rory is one of the real stars in the NYC environmental action firmament and it would be an honor for everyone if he was so recognized.”  We did and welcome his latest recognition. NEW YORK STATE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
As New York’s top utility regulator, Rory M. Christian has his hand in everything from developing offshore wind to facilitating the installation of electric vehicle charging stations to tackling rising energy costs. In January, he scaled back National Grid’s proposed rate hikes. In February, he instructed Con Edison to take steps to prevent price swings. Also, in March, he launched an audit of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp.’s billing process. Christian, who has worked in government as the New York City Housing Authority’s director of energy finance and sustainability, was named chair and CEO of the state Public Service Commission in October, just months after joining the commission as a commissioner in June.
