Yesterday, I had the pleasure of joining Peter (as his guest) at a Morgan Stanley client-only event on CyberSecurity.

*WOW* The amount of world-class cyber talent Morgan Stanley has amassed is fantastic.

They are making a lot of really good investments in protecting themselves & their clients from cybercrime.

KEY TIPS FOR ALL OF US (yes, including YOU dear reader!)


  1.  Use a password manager - post-Equifax breach way too much of your personal data is in the public sphere



  1.  Patch & update your systems - Windows, Macs, iphones, androids, servers.  JUST PATCH IT!



  1.  Implement and enable 2fa wherever you can - Amazon, Paypal, Google, your bank (if it lets you)



  1.  Setup a separate GUEST WIFI network for your friends, family and kids.  Keep everyone else OFF your private network


  1.  Only install apps from the Apple App store or Google Play - avoid installing apps from 3rd party sites


  1.  The new Apple Credit card (and Google PAY) are much better / more secure than credit cards



  1.  Securely shred your old statements & bills



If all this makes sense to you, then implement it!
