Mulchfest 2019
January 4-13

Join NYC Parks and the New York City Department of Sanitation in the NYC holiday tradition of recycling your Christmas tree! Drop off your tree at a Mulchfest location <https://www.nycgovparks.org/highlights/festivals/mulchfest?utm_source=nyc-gov-newsletter&utm_medium=email> near you now through January 13 during park hours. We'll chip your tree later.

Or, you can join us on Chipping Weekend to take home a tree-mento! Chipping Weekend takes place January 12-13, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

To find a Mulchfest location near you, visit NYC Parks' Mulchfest website <https://www.nycgovparks.org/highlights/festivals/mulchfest?utm_source=nyc-gov-newsletter&utm_medium=email>.

Please remember to remove all lights, ornaments, and netting before bringing the tree to a Mulchfest site.

Volunteer

Don't have a tree or looking to help out? We're looking for volunteers to help us spread mulch around young trees to insulate them from the cold weather. To sign up, visit NYC Parks' Mulchfest Volunteer website <https://www.nycgovparks.org/reg/stewardship/6062?utm_source=nyc-gov-newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=volunteer>.
