Good afternoon Gotham.
Following my email from yesterday, please see below for more thoughts shared by our Gotham members about Jefferson. As our Gotham family continues to mourn his loss, I hope we can all find comfort in the impact he had on others.

Cayce Crown: "Jefferson Crowther was one of the kindest, gentlest souls I've ever met. So willing to express his feelings, an inspiration to us all. A loss not only to Gotham, but all beings. Earlier this year I met a school teacher from the Midwest who was teaching her students about the story of Jeff's son, Welles Remy. I had hoped when she returned this Spring, with her class, I could introduce them... Man makes plans, God laughs. May we all raise our children, families and friends to have such an impact. Thanks, Jeff, for being you."
Elizabeth Marner-Brooks: "He leaves a great legacy...a warm, sensitive, strong man with a remarkable family. It's hard to imagine a Gotham event without Jefferson's presence."
Steven Campbell: "This is very sad news indeed. Jefferson, and his family, have been dealt more difficult hands in life than most of us. And he ran with those more gracefully than certainly I ever could. I will miss him and his personal inspiration very, very much."
Ellyn Finkelstein: "This is very sad news indeed. Jefferson, and his family, have been dealt more difficult hands in life than most of us. And he ran with those more gracefully than certainly I ever could. I will miss him and his personal inspiration very, very much."
Cary Spiegel: "So glad I saw him at the Gotham party in December, and that we all had the opportunity to cheer for him when he was honored. A remarkable gentleman who will be missed!"
Dana Charlton: "Dear Fred and Nancy, I was so saddened to hear of Jefferson Crowther's passing. I know how much he meant to you, to Gotham, to all who knew him. I felt honored to know him, and just 2 days ago held Tom Rinaldi's book in my hands. Mr. Crowther was a very special person, devoted father, loving husband, and caring beyond words. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May Mr. Crowther rest in peace and may his legacy to his son shine forever."
David N. Milner: "I feel compelled to join in remembering Jefferson. I had the distinct pleasure of having had the opportunity to know Jefferson for more than 15 years as both a friend, banker and mentor. Indeed it was Jefferson who introduced me to Gotham for which I will forever be indebted to him. I remember when I first met Jefferson and commented on the lapel pin he was wearing and learned about his son, Welles. My life was forever changed. What most of you do not know, and which I was embarrassed to tell Jefferson, was that I have a son whose office was on the 86th floor of the first tower who was fortunate enough to not be in his office that horrible morning. I will forever miss Jefferson, may he rest in peace."
