[Fredslist] Gotham offers great volunteer opportunities ( that also make good business)

Dear Fellow Gothamites,

 I have to share the excitement of my morning activities. I had the
pleasure of sponsoring a June birthday party for an extraordinary group of
seniors at  S. N. A. P .
( Services Now for Adult Persons). There upwards of about 100 seniors in
the room.
It was awesome to bring a smile to many  of the seniors. Oh did I mention
that one of the gentlemen asked me to dance.

As we just started our Season of Giving, I want to mention S. N. A. P and
many giving and many volunteer opportunities.

Previously  reported here, I recently joined the executive board . Thanks
to Corey Bearak who serves as S. N. A. P, Board Chair, and board member and
development  committee chair Mindy Stern, Gotham introduced me to a
wonderful opportunity; to give back when they nominated me as fellow
director.

This led to an opportunity to speak with and educate SNAPs seniors about
reverse mortgages. In addition to joining the board, I also decided to join
its Business-Community Partnership.

More Gotham members should take advantage of the wealth of volunteer
opportunities that exist through our tribe.

Thanks for your interest. I hope this post motivates others to act  ( or
just share their stories which all in our tribe should know).!.
