[Fredslist] NJ Landlord Tenant Attorney needed ASAP

Gotham – A good friend of mine who lives in New Jersey rented out her town house and when the tenant left she was left with a lot of repairs to make in order to sell the townhouse.  This all happened when she was ill with cancer so she may not have given the tenant a notice of the expenses she was forced to pay.

In any case, Therese was sued by the tenant for the return of the 2-3 times the amount of the security deposit plus attorney’s fees and she doesn’t have an attorney.  The return date is coming up really quickly and she needs some good advice asap.
