A growing company is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to assist our Accounting and HR teams. The right candidate will be a strategic thinker who can work both independently and collaboratively.  You are an expert at transaction processing, supporting payroll and benefits processing, working with outside vendors and ensuring regulatory compliance.  You enjoy going above and beyond and keep abreast of all the latest technologies and apps available to accounting and HR professionals. Responsibilities
 
Accurately prepare and process US multi-state semi-monthly payroll transactions with ADP.
Manage, validate and process payroll benefit systems (e.g., bambooHR, medical/dental).
Primary contact for payroll operational and troubleshooting issues.
Maintain primary vendor relationships with third-party payroll and 401k provider. 
Manage and process 401k benefits.
Prepare and process accurate, complete and timely payroll tax filings for all company locations.
Implement, review and refine payroll-related processes and systems implementation.
Coordinate, prepare and process annual W-2 and year end payroll tax reconciliation and distribution.
Coordinate and assist with processing payroll general ledger entries, liabilities and payroll expense as part of the financial close process.
Provide ad-hoc support and assistance to the HR team requests.
 
The Ideal Candidate
 
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of payroll administration and payroll tax experience in a similar position managing a payroll process
Demonstrated understanding of compliance with US federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to payroll and benefits
 
Some Plusses
 
Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment
Highly proficient in ADP
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Advanced proficiency in Excel (i.e., pivot tables, VLookups, etc)
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
