> Each summer, the Wilson Center Funded Internship Program funds Pace students to work within New York City social enterprises and nonprofit organizations. The goal of the internship is two-fold: 1)to offer experiential learning and income for students interested in careers in the nonprofit sector, 2)and to offer bright, highly motivated students in service for nonprofits. Internships should provide hands-on, substantive opportunities for students to make a meaningful contribution to the work of the organization. Each intern works full-time for 8 weeks between June and August (35 hours/week, $15.00/hour) and is paid by the Wilson Center.
>
> I would like to extend the opportunity to nominate a deserving nonprofit or social enterprise to host a 2016 Pace summer funded intern. We are particularly looking for organizations in Lower Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island, however nominations for organizations located in any part of NYC are welcome. If you would like to nominate an organization with an available full-time internship position that meets the criteria described above, please submit the below information to jkamberg at pace.edu no later than, November 20th, 2015.

> Once nominations are collected, a student-led committee will vote to identify our final host organizations and determine where funds will be allocated. We hope to notify potential host organizations of their internship funding status by early March 2016. Once the organization has made the short list, interested students will submit their resume’s through Pace Career Services and the respective organization will receive resumes to review/evaluate. The host organization will be responsible for interviewing and selecting an ideal candidate for the proposed position.
> We look forward to having your input, and thank you for your help in providing students with meaningful experiential educational opportunities.
> Please feel free to call/email for any further questions/clarifications.
