[Fredslist] In home aid help

Can anyone recommend someone knowledgeable in this area.

My aunt and uncle (both elderly) have been living in Oceanside (Long Island) 5 months a year and the rest in Florida.  They have done this for the last 30 years.

They had in home aids the past several times they have come back to NY for the summer and they have aids when they go to Florida.  For some reason they are having a problem getting the agency to provide aids for them when they come back next week and it has something to do with a requirement that they get a letter from a doctor stating they need an aid.  The issue is that they are requiring the note from a NY doctor and will not accept one form their Florida doctor.  They have not see a doctor in about 8 months which was when they were in NY last and cannot get a letter from a NY doctor that fast.  They must have in home aids when they get here next week.

Can anyone recommend a way to deal with this?
