[Fredslist] Kudos to Corey Bearak!!!

Kudos to my friend and colleague Corey Bearak on a massive victory in
yesterday's Democratic Primary election.
I have worked with Corey on a number of successful issues including twice
blocking the misguided tolling of NYC's free bridges.
You may have noticed in the newspapers or on the "tube" that every
incumbent including those under a cloud of indictment won but one.
The one incumbent knocked off, State Senator Malcolm Smith, faced a
candidate, Leroy Comrie advised by Corey.
Guided by Corey as the campaign's general consultant overseeing strategy
and message, Comrie won just under 70% of the votes cast in a district
extending from southeast Queens into parts of Forest Hills and Jamaica
Estates.
 In contrast, in Brooklyn, incumbent Senator John Sampson fended off a
well-financed labor supported candidate also with the endorsement of the
Governor and the Mayor.
