[Fredslist] Referral to an NJ Real Estate attorney

One of my client's co-signed a loan for a friend on a property located in NJ to help her obtain a mortgage.

Short story:  friend became ill, and cannot pay mortgage.  There will be a short sale, and debt cancellation.

My client never made any payments, never claimed any deductions or otherwise did anything related to the property.

 

I am looking for an attorney who can review loan documents to determine if there is potential recourse to my client, and

to look at whether my client might receive cancellation of debt income with respect to property.
