[Fredslist] Admin services for conserved person in CT

Dear Gothamites,

 

My question is twofold.  I will be conservator for a lovely elderly woman in
northern Fairfield County who has not been opening her mail for quite some
time and is in a memory-care unit of assisted living now.  

 

1)      I received a recommendation for a company called Guardian Ad Litem
Services, Inc. to function as a caseworker to liaise with different state
social resources.  Have any of you had experience with this or similar
case-management services?  Any recommendations?  

2)      I wonder if one of our Tribe members offers a complete "get all your
affairs in order" service.  It will involve, from what I understand,
receiving her new mail and either reporting bills to me or paying them
directly, helping me prepare the accounting and financial documents for the
court, as well as sorting through *ahem* several years of unopened mail.  

 

If someone can tackle both, awesome, but I suspect this will be outsourced
to two different companies.  Any recommendations by email, please.
