Some highlights of my accomplishments are as follows:

 

Education:

·    I am a 2013 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, and am admitted to practice in NYS.

·    I received an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Michigan.

Law School:

·     Securities Arbitration Clinic - I was selected to participate in this Clinic, and gained valuable experience in the legal system and the arbitration process.  I drafted the statement of claim for numerous clients and attended an arbitration proceeding before FINRA. I was involved in cases from their inception, and participated throughout the entire legal process.

·     Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association – This association is primarily a competition-based organization. Members were invited to join based upon their performance in the school-wide mock trial competition. As a result of this opportunity, I have furthered my technical knowledge, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, while obtaining specialized advocacy skills training for the courtroom.

Prior Legal Experience:

·     Summer internship at law firms, as well as a judicial internship for the Honorable F. Dana Winslow, Nassau County Supreme Court.

·    Temporary assignments as a practicing attorney.

Areas of Legal Interest:

·     Corporate and Securities - completed nine courses in this area.

·     Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice - completed assignments in this area on a temporary basis, and worked for Weitz & Luxenberg during law school.

·     Labor & Employment - was the Managing Editor of Articles for the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal.

·     Malpractice Defense/Insurance Defense – Completed CLE entitled "37th Annual Civil Trial Practice Institute: A Bridge the Gap for Litigators"

 

I would prefer to be in NYC (or environs) if possible, but I am looking for a firm that would provide me with an opportunity to expand my knowledge and become an integral part of the firm’s professional team.
