[Fredslist] Sept 19th - Fundraiser for boy hurt in Surfing Accident

Hi All,

I met Tom Browne the other week, and he told me his nephew's story and I feel compelled to pass it along to you.

Tom Browne is promoting a fundraiser taking place on Friday September 19th in Island Park NY for his nephew Robert Browne.  On July 3rd life changed instantly for Tom's 13 yr. old nephew Robert.  He became paralyzed following a devastating surfing accident at surf camp in Long Beach N.Y.  Additionally the Browne family lost their home to Hurricane Sandy and have been displaced living in a trailer with 3 boys and their dog.  Construction on their home was nearly complete, but now necessitates an elevator, wider hallways and handicap accessibility.  Their goal is to raise money to help cover Robert's substantial  ongoing medical expenses and reconstruction costs.  Details for the fundraiser are below and attached.
