[Fredslist] If in Vegas visit the James Turrell Exhibit, AKHOB

My co-NotY, and GOtham GREEN co-chair, Josh Zinder (also Princeton chair), had recommended we visit the "AKHOB" Exhibit by the artist James Turrell.  We (daughter Marisa, wife Shelly and your correspondent) visited it Monday with recently transplanted from NY friends Frank and Marlene.  

We found the exhibit housed inside a Louis Vuitton store in the Crystal Shopiing  Center, 3720 Las Vegas Boulevard South between Bellagio and Monte Carlo hotels.

You have to see it to believe it.  A splendid series of successive rooms where lights creates the affects.  No pictures allowed so apologies for sharing none (but view some here).  And of course our guide, Art Specialist Jessica Gifford, knows "Mr. Zinder." 

Certainly the highlight of a various nice trip (that continues).  The artist also owns a volcanic crater in Arizona and is turning it into a work of art.  The visits take place by appointment and generally they place a size limit of four on each visit.  If you plan to visit Vegas- a must see.
