[Fredslist] Expired Inspection

Dear Tribe,

I have a quick question and wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts.

My wife received a ticket for an expired inspection while parked.  The car is not frequently used and we realized 4 days after receiving the ticket that it was on the car.  We are getting the car inspected ASAP.  Would we be able to use this to not pay (get the ticket reversed) the ticket?  Showing we took care of it right away or is this no excuse and we should just pay it.
