[Fredslist] Kudos and Congratulations to Alan Schwartz

First the kudos:

On Friday night I received the phone call every matrimonial attorney dreads; a client had been arrested. My next phone call was to Alan Schwartz. Within minutes, Alan had located my client (who, in his anguish, told me the wrong precinct), spoke to my client, reassured him, and, most importantly, secured a lawyer in his firm to represent my client at the arraignment on Saturday morning. With just a bare knowledge of the facts, Alan's associate also made an oral application to dismiss the arrest at the arraignment.

Alan's and his firm's expertise and confidence in what they do made a horrendous experience for my client almost tolerable. And, in doing so, made me look good.

Now the congratulations:

Alan is being installed tonight as a director of the Nassau County Bar Association. Mazel tov Alan!!
