Last night was a great night at the Friar's Club starting with the train ride down with about 20 Hinterlanders! The annual holiday party was a lot of fun, reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, good food and lots of laughs! 

The icing on the cake came for me when Fred announced the winners of the Annual Summer of Giving! I was stunned to hear my name and the name of my favorite charity announced...Senior Services of Stamford! Www.seniorservicesofstamford.org

 I am proud to serve on the Board of Trustees and I was just recently invited to be on the executive board of this wonderful non profit. SSOS is a 109 year organization that helps seniors in need with emergency assistance for food, utilities, rent and other necessities of daily living that they might otherwise have to do without. Our medical transportation program drives seniors  to doctor appointments. The $5,000 donation will be gratefully accepted! 

So next summer when the Summer of Giving envelope is passed at your Gotham meeting, give generously! You never know when your favorite charity will randomly win a big fat check! $15,000 was donated by all of you. Last night there were three winners of $5,000 each.
