Celebrating over a quarter-century of polo tradition between the
University of Virginia and Yale, the Harriman Cup Polo Match is a
fundraiser and social event commemorating the life of diplomat, polo
player, and former New York governor Averell Harriman.
The Harriman Cup is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the
sport of polo and supporting the collegiate polo programs at Yale and
UVa. The organization has raised over $600,000 for the schools'
undergraduate polo teams.
