This medical research facility developing therapies to restore neurological function and improve the lives of people with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and other disorders of the central nervous system, is currently based In Hawthorne NY (Westchester) but moving closer to NYC to Ardsley, NY as of July 1st. Job Summary:
The Manager - HRIS manages the development, integration, implementation and maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and ensures accurate and timely input of Human Resources data into the HRIS systems used. This individual is responsible for evaluating, processing and auditing of employee records within the system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Oversees conversion of data into HRIS, as well as interfaces with other web based and server based systems (website and Synapse.)
•Maintains and monitors HRIS systems and interfaces ensuring efficient operations, processing, and report generation.  
•Responsible for entering all human resources data into the HRIS database, including but not limited to: new hires, employee status changes, benefits, terminations, etc.
•Ensures data integrity through audit and review.  
•Collaborates with Payroll, Finance and IT to ensure accurate, timely and efficient processing of HR transactions, including personnel change authorization forms.  
•Develop statistical summaries in order to track and report metrics related to all HR functions including compensation, benefits and staffing.
•Generates reports and statistical summaries for internal, external clients or third party vendors.  
•Trains department staff and other internal clients on systems access and use, including creating and or updating procedures manuals.
•Evaluates and recommends new releases, enhancements and/or changes to the system, including researching costs and determining changing user and organizational needs.
•Acts as first point of contact for questions relating to inaccuracies of data, troubleshoots problems.

Qualifications:
•Full competency with HRIS applications and knowledge of hardware and software.
•Knowledge of systems interface requirements; ability to keep abreast of new and developing technologies.
•Strong analytical and data management skills. 
•Previous project management experience with cross-functional teams.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
•Ability to write queries in an HRIS database. 

Other Skills and Abilities:
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•It is essential that this individual demonstrate the ability to work with highly confidential information.
•Ability to prioritize and multi-task successfully in a fast paced environment.
•Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to work on multiple projects at any given time.

Education and/or Experience: 
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Master’s degree preferred
•Minimum of five to eight years progressive HRIS experience required; or any similar combination of education and experience. 
•Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
•Prior experience with HRIS system migration preferred.
