Dear Colleagues,

The NYCLMIS usually does not distribute job notices in the field of workforce development or otherwise. We are pleased to share this announcement with you, however, because of the importance of this leadership position. The NYC Office of the Mayor is forming a new Office of Human Capital Development which will report to the Deputy Mayor of Economic Development and is seeking the first executive director. The new office was created as a result of a collaborative initiative led by Deputy Mayors Gibbs and Steel, and Chancellor Walcott to further improve the local workforce development system, and includes all of the City’s workforce agencies. NYCLMIS currently acts as consultant to the collaborative by contributing to the annual State of the New York City Workforce System report, and providing strategic analyses and in-depth reports.

Please pass this notice on to the extraordinary workforce leaders that you know and to your network of workforce development professionals as well.

Best Regards,
Lesley
