I am dismayed by this news. Gotham has lost a noble friend and Heaven has gained another angel. Chris lamal was not only unfailingly kind, he was a gentleman and a scholar. And I might add, a true friend. We shared many hours of soulful conversation about our common, midwestern, large family upbringing. Both our fathers were doctors. we both were one of seven. We both came to New York. He touched many hearts and has a permanent place in mine. He will not be forgot. With endearing affection, Kelly Welles, Chair, Diversity
