[Fredslist] Inheritance of Annuity Question

A former client of mine is going to inherit 50% of an annuity (from her mom) that is "paid on death" to her and her sister and needs to know what, if any, tax/estate implications there are for her.  Can anybody advise what I should ask her or tell her, or who to refer her to? It is the only estate asset and she is not the executor.
