[Fredslist] An important linkedin tip

Another problem is that if you wish to connect to another LinkedIn member but if you do not have their email address, LinkedIn will not allow you to connect.  Does anyone know a way around this?

The problem with all this that when you just met someone and you have their email address LinkedIn does not allow you to add a note.  The person have to be a LinkedIn member to be able to send a personal note.

I agree. As encouraged by Marc Halpert I do not accept invitations 
If I don't actually know them. Adding a note would clarify who you are, and how you know them
