[Fredslist] We need your help to make the GOtham Green Awards City-Wide in 2012!

Fellow Gothamites,
 
As you may know, in 2009 and 2010, the GOtham Green group organized the GOtham Green Awards to recognize and honor green businesses and nonprofits in Gotham and in NYC.  We put this effort on hold for 2011 so we can organize an even bigger event for 2012.
 
GOtham Green has begun working on making this a City-Wide event in partnership with other organizations in NYC that share a similar mission to promote green business development. We already have started partnering with the Manhattan and Queens Chambers of Commerce, in addition to some other groups.
 
AT THIS TIME WE ARE REACHING OUT TO GOTHAM MEMBERS FOR HELP AND WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU WOULD READ THROUGH AND REPLY TO THE SIX QUESTIONS BELOW:
 
1. To facilitate finding potential sponsors and because we know you are busy, we would ask you to consider “linking” with sponsorship committee members Gail Koelln or Jim Cox through Linked In so we could review potential connections for media and other sponsorship opportunities. We would review your connections, identify those that are relevant, and then get back to you to see if you are comfortable providing a direct personal or email introduction.
 
 
 2 .  If you’d prefer, please list below any contacts you can recommend who may be interested in sponsoring the GOtham Green Awards event in April 2012.  Please include why you think they would be interested, as well as their name, title, company name, and telephone and/or email address. 
 
 
 
 3 .  Is it OK to use your name when contacting these people?  Please add any additional comments about this, if needed. 
 
 
 
 4 .  If your company might be interested in being a sponsor, please indicate so below and the best way for someone to reach you to discuss this further. 
 
 
 
5.    Media coverage is key to providing value to our sponsors; who do you know at media outlets (TV, radio, internet) that we could contact about media sponsorships?
 
 
 
 6 .  Do you have any additional suggestions regarding finding sponsorship support for the 2012 GOtham Green Awards?
