Hi everyone,
 
Below is a summary of the labor data for New York for the month of April, which was released last week:
 
·         The state unemployment rate fell from 8.0 percent in March to 7.9 percent in April
·         New York’s rate remains below the U.S. rate, which stands at 9.0 percent
·         The state added 43,800 jobs in April, the largest single month increase since September 2000
