[Fredslist] Summer Intern Needs Housing

The daughter of one of my college roommates (based on the West Coast) is
just completing a degree in Film and has a summer internship with a
Brooklyn-based film company.  The daughter needs housing in NYC or
surrounding suburbs for the summer.  "Safe and affordable" are the key
words, per her mother.  Does anyone have any ideas about how to find such
housing?  Could be sublease, with roommates, in university dorms, or
anything similar.
