[Fredslist] Book publishing contract

Hello along the network,
I work with a non-profit poetry book publisher (a 501(c)(3)) and have been
asked to review its standard publishing contract with authors. It's a mess
and needs to be redone very quickly. Although I've done book publishing
contracts, I am, unfortunately, overwhelmed and am not able to handle this
project within the short time frame of a just a few days required.
There is urgency to the matter, because they are about to publish (if they
can get the contract together) a book of poetry by a young poet who is about
to appear on Oprah or Oprah's network or in O magazine (something to do with
Oprah, anyway), which will presumably create significant demand unlike
anything this teeny weeny publisher has ever seen.
Are there any lawyers or book publishing professionals out there who might
be able to take this project on? You'll get two free tickets to our
upcoming May benefit "Hollywood Does Poetry"
Again, time is of the essence.
Many thanks.
Hoping the Gotham magic can work yet again,
Chris Lamal
