Fellow Gothamites,

One of my nonprofit clients provides a wonderful service for children who are ill or have chronic disabilities – the Songs of Love Foundation writes personalized, original songs and records them onto a CD or mp3 file, all free of charge. Over the years, they have made almost 22,000 sick children happy with this unique gift.

The recession has hurt the Songs of Love Foundation badly, as their lifeblood has been their in-house auto donation program. People are now hanging onto their old cars and many fewer are being donated.

I am writing you today to ask for two things:

1. Let me know if you know anyone in the hedge fund business. The executive director, John Beltzer, would like to send some proposals to people in that industry and any connections you can make would be really helpful.

 2. Please help Songs of Love by sending them a donation of any amount on their web site (there is also mailing information there if you prefer to send a check). The link is: https://songsoflove.org/store/donation/

You’ll be helping to bring the joy of music to a child in need.

Thank you for your generosity.

Best wishes,
Gail
