I have asked my fellow Friar and Gothamite Bruce Swicker, an experienced
Roast attendee, to describe the table location and Roast experience and
the below is his answer, as only he can give it:
The only answer I can give you is, "it depends..." The room is huge (I
believe it's the largest in NYC), and the seats are obviously pretty far
back. Sound is no problem, and if your aim is to enjoy a fun
lunch/afternoon with fellow Gothamites, and to hear & see some totally
outrageous comedy, well, it's great. If you really feel the need to be
closer to the action, that's fine, but you're going to pay, pay, pay. For
me, despite being a Friar, I'm perfectly happy to sit with the great
unwashed masses from Gotham.
Oh, one more thing, things get raunchy. Really, REALLY raunchy. So, keep
that in mind if you choose to invite guests. Some folks - particularly if
they're unprepared for it - will find some of the content offensive.
We still have some tickets available.
