Paul: plead not guilty. Go in and talk the DA on the Court date. Since you have a clean license he/she should give you a deal and a no point traffic ticket. If not, you can ask for an adjournment and hire an attorney to go back with you. Thanks,
Jas

Subject: [Fredslist] Need Traffic Ticket Advice

Hi Gotham,

Recently, I got my first moving violation in 15 years for crossing the HOV divider. My court date is Thursday in Hempstead. Any suggestions for negotiating this down to a non-moving violation? The cop also gave me a ticket for having a GPS on my dashboard!

Thanks,

Paul
