Quality Control Lab Director

The right person could lead by example, delegate, manage and has the
experience and the willingness to continue to be hands-on. This is a new
role created due to growth at the company to enable them to become more
efficient and able to continue to grow

Location: Long Island

 

Summary:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the analytical
laboratory involving the testing of prescription solid dosage forms and
maintaining the stability study program. This position provides support to
Scientific Director and Quality Assurance Department. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the Quality Control Laboratory and its personnel. 

Support laboratory personnel in carrying out daily procedures according to
schedules,  SOP's, CGLP's, regulations, and requirements.

Adhere to, create, maintain and implement training programs.

Oversee investigations of deviations to ensure that all investigations
follow protocol and include corrective and preventative actions. 

Provide annual review of personnel.

Develop and implement systems to improve laboratory compliance and
productivity.  

Requirements

Education:

BS in chemistry or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

Experience:

8 years experience in GMP Laboratory Environment and Solid Dosage Forms.

Management experience

 

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Organized and efficient.

Must provide good leadership by example.

Must have the ability to interact with regulatory authorities. 

 

Note: 

This person will be expected to be a hands-on contributor as well as a
leader.

This is a 4X10 schedule.
