[Fredslist] Lunar eclipse

So, my nutty family stayed up until about 3 am watching the eclipse. I
wouldn't call the even 'boring.' Spooky, yes. Sanjun, I remember going
outside at about the time you wrote your post and couldn't see any sign of
the moon. There were clouds, but it was if the moon had completely
disappeared. Scott, even thought I am not a cave girl, I must say it was a
little eerie. There is something about the disruption of the regular
occurrence of natural events that is unsettling. I remember the complete
solar eclipse that took place during the day about 15 years ago. My cat was
very upset and you could hear the birds outside tweeting loudly. I don't
know why, but it feels like a privilege to have observed these two events in
a lifetime.
