Dear Friends and Family,

 

On August 14th, I am going to swim 5k to raise money for cancer research and I need your help.  Unfortunately, nearly everyone knows someone who has suffered from this terrible disease. Cancer has hit my friends and family hard.  My mother and my sister have each had cancer twice and 3 friends have recently been diagnosed.  Thankfully they are all doing well.  Tragically, my dad lost his battle with cancer in 2006.  

 

My swim won't mean much if we can't raise the money needed to help find a cure.  I hope you will consider contributing to this cause.   

The proceeds of our SWIMS will support cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center-SAA Laboratory, the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, and the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Also, we are supporting Fighting Chance, a free Cancer Resource and Counseling Center in Sag Harbor, N.Y. and the MIRACLE Pavilion at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre, N.Y.
