Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The overall management of the technical department, which includes work scheduling, job assignment, job prioritization, evaluation and streamline of current processes.


*Overseeing the work of litigation support analysts.

*Troubleshooting litigation technology issues.

*Provides technical leadership for meetings with Project Managers and, as requested outside clients to iron out technical details.

*Manages the day to day activities of eDiscovery personnel and the associated projects.

*Works along side development team to build and improve tools to efficiently automate data analysis and manipulation tasks in the eDiscovery environment.

*Responsible for tracking all aspects of assigned projects and maintaining accurate data for billing purposes, including communication with project managers.

*Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.

*Plans ahead to allocate resources and ensure each stage of the process continues moving.

*Divides and distributes jobs amongst Technical staff based on job priority and staff skill set.

Skills

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

*Bachelors degree in computer science or related field required.

*3 + years serving as a manager or director role in eDiscovery.

*Strong leadership skills such as providing direction, leading courageously, fostering teamwork, motivating others, coaching and developing others.

*Experience with litigation support software such as: Concordance, Summation and other standard EDD tools required.

*Knowledge of Microsoft Access, DT Search, SQL and VBA.

*Hands-on experience with e-discovery technical issues a must.

*Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize appropriately.

*Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with client and internal staff.

*Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

*Available by phone or email when out of the office as needed.

*Must be available to work overtime, including evening and/or weekends as needed.

*Excellent customer service skills and focus.

*Strong experience with database creation, data collection, extraction, and conversion, as well as extensive knowledge of litigation processes and practices.
