Hi Gothamites,
As many of you know by now, I assist the producer of a dozen shows a year at The Town Hall. This coming Monday evening at 8 p.m. is "Broadway Unplugged", meaning...No Microphones. The Town Hall is a 1500 seat theater located on West 43rd between 6th & 7th Avenues. As our producer, Scott Siegel says, "Unplugged: sound designed by God." No mechanics, the pure human voice. This is what all theater used to be.
If anyone has any special ticket or seat requests, contact me and I'll try to help.
Hope to see some of you there! Stop by and say hello; I'll be at the VIP Desk before the show, to the left of the Box Office window.
Among those performing:
Marc Kudisch (2-time Tony nominee)
Emily Skinner (Tony Award winner, Best Actress in a Musical: "Side Show")
Daniel Reichard (one of the original "Jersey Boys")
Manu Narayan (star of "Bombay Dreams")
Jeffry Denman ("White Christmas")
Bill Daugherty ("Brother Can You Spare a Dime" at Triad)
William Michals ("South Pacific")
Lisa Howard ("Spelling Bee")
John Easterlin (2 x Grammy Winning Opera Star)
Sarah Jane McMahon ("Pirates of Penzance" with Marc Kudisch at City Opera)
And, here's advance notice: Monday, Jan. 25th "The Nightlife Awards" will be at The Town Hall. I believe that this is the Only awards show where there are No Acceptance Speeches...Only Performing.
