[Fredslist] firing a part time employee

Gotham please help me. I really need to fire my part time employee. She has
been with me for over a year and it is not working out anymore. She only
works 12 hours a week. What do you suggest in regards to giving her
severance pay? I want to let her go and give her money instead of keeping
her here. At first I was being benevolent and thinking of giving her 2 weeks
but now I think that is really too much for a part timer. Should I just give
her 1 week and tell her to take a hike? Is that fair? I welcome your
suggestions?
