Gotham,

This past week my wife Sharon and I did a wonderful trip to the Napa and Sonoma Valleys with our friend Maria Scillieri, who is the head Sommelier at "The Brick House" in Wyckoff, NJ. Also on our trip was Maria's husband Dave, one of my clients in the title business.

I have to say,  one of the highlights of our trip was meeting legendary wine maker Ed Sbragia, at his vineyard in Geyserville, CA. For those of you who may not know Ed, he has been making wine for over 30 years in the region. Ed was the head wine maker at Beringer, prior to starting his own label (he still acts as a consultant to Beringer) . Ed has the honor of being the only person to be named "Wine maker of the Year" for both a red and white wine variety. Ed made a promise to his Dad Gino, before he passed in 1995, that someday he would bottle wine under the family name. Ed and his son Adam, released their first 2002 vintages in the fall of 2004.

I am bringing this to Gotham's attention as I believe many of the Gotham
wine collectors out there, will enjoy this!
