I had the pleasure of attending the Green Group lunch yesterday and wanted
to encourage other members to visit. Having been in networking groups for
many years, the drill is somewhat the same: try to make a good impression,
give your two minute shpeil, refer business if you can, but at the end of
the day, the bottom line is "what’s in it for me". Here’s a group where all
those metrics are the same, except for one thing: folks are trying to
improve something a little bigger than themselves–the planet. It was truly
refreshing to hear each person’s approach to making things better for the
environment, and in essence, making things better for all of us. Green is
good...
